Admin got busy last week so we have double review for this week. It might be a short review one because I combine two episodes into one review. Anyway, enjoy!

VRAINS 55

Our girls (Blue girl and ghost girl) reached the Link VRAINS restricted area! They ran from the wind storm and got a shelter under some caves. The storm itself was created by the wind Ignis, named Windy (as it called himself like that after knowing the dark and fire ignis got a name such as Ai and Flame). Both girls found the investigator team from SOL technologies and saved them using the one-time only log out program.

Playmaker and Soulburner met Windy inside a castle like building which was created by Windy itself (yeah, lets refer the AI into a things, not someone lol). Unlike Ai and Flame, Windy did not want to search for his human partner. It could not trust human (yet). It let Playmaker and Soulburner reached his place because it saws Ai and Flame. However, it did not like that our girls steadily approached its place. Windy requested Playmaker and Soulburner to get rid of our girls in exchange of infomation about Bohman’s whereabout.

The wind storm was halt by Windy so Playmaker and Soulburner can duel the girls. It was the first time that Soulburner met with Blue Girl/Blue Angel. He talks with Blue Girl seems like hitting some chicks on the road LOL. Also, some debate about SOL Technologies and Ignis happened between Blue Girl and Soulburner. Then, they decide to duel each other in episode 56. Its Blue Girl with new trickstar deck!! XDDDD

VRAINS 56

Blue Girl vs Soulburner. For some reason, I do not know why, buy they all agree to call Aoi as Blue Girl instead of Blue Angel. Seems like Blue Angel, sorry, Blue Girl has learned about her weakness, thus improving her trickstar deck. We expect new trickstar cards appear instead of new archetype like Go Onizuka. Let’s see. . . .

Usually, the decision of who is going first was made so suddenly. In this episode, somehow Soulburner really wanted to go first, but he did not simply said “I go first, my turn, draw”. Instead, he offered a method such as racing until a certain point, then the winner of the race would go first. In real life, we often to decide this thing by using dice. In some religions, the act of choosing using probability way such as the dice is prohibited. So, I was really amazed to see they decide who is going first by racing first.  It was just like in 5D’s era. I wonder if we can apply the race concept in real life duel. So, the player not only need to prepare their deck, but also their body lol.

The duel start and now we can see how Blue Girl improved her deck. It really turns out that she improved her deck by putting new cards inside her deck. For example, she buy the JUMP so she could use Trickstar Carobein lol

Blue Girl’s deck was really a good match up to face Soulburner. Trickstar Lycoris’s effect already sealed Soulburner skill, Burning Draw! If Soulburner used it his life point would become zero for paying the skill cost, then he would draw cards that triggered Lycoris effect to burn the remaining Life Point. The duel did not really favor SoulBurner. This is where the plot armor took place. Soulburner has a lame card, but really suitable for facing Blue Girl. Gate of Fire was activated by Soulburner. Its effect negate the burn damage which was below 300. This is cheating. He side deck in game 1. What the hahahahaha

However, Blue Girl amplify her burn damage from 200 point into 400 which surpass the gate of fire. Link monster, Trickstar Divaridis would burn for 400 damage whenever Soulburner summoned a monsters. Since Lycoris was not on the field, Flame encourage Soulburner to use his skill and draw “that card”. Yes, and he drew it using his skill. A cheating fusion spell card. The card enable Soulburner to use monsters on either’s player field as fusion material of Salamangreat fusion monster. He used Divaridis as fusion material, escaped the 400 burn damage, then win by a beatdown power 9700 point.

Poor Blue Girl. I really wished that we could see her win the duel :’( Here is another heartbreaking scene where Blue Girl got pushed away by 9700 attack point.

Blue Girl was sent back to the real life by using log out program made by Flame. We do not have to worry that our girl could not go back, because the Ignis could make a copy of the log out program as it wish. Anw, Ghost Girl did not want to duel Soulburner, because her deck was meta deck and she would not gain anything by dueling tier 3-4 deck such as Salamangreat. Until next time!!
